Merry Christmas

Henry was so much fun to watch this holiday season. We left our cookies and carrots out for Santa. He was so thrilled with Chuck the Talking Truck. Or as Brian's calls him C T squared. Or Charlie. We had some nicknames for that toy so we could speak without getting caught. We were lucky enough to have Aunt Julie in visiting. Her Michigan bound flight from NY didn't work out. So she flew to us! We so enjoyed having her see the house, meet Miles and help to polish off the Monkey Bread! Also got to spend a few days with Uncle Shawn who had such patience trying to school all of us with Wii 101. We are grateful for a healthy and happy little family. We are looking forward to many more merry Christmas' to come.

My 3 Year Old

My 3 year old. I don't know where 3 years have gone. One day we woke up and this little person was speaking complete sentences and cracking us up. We tell jokes, we negotiate, we teach, we sing, we share ideas, we learn, and squeeze in the hugs and kisses in between all of that... everyday. Our little boy Henry is quickly becoming big boy Henry. He comes wearing big boy underwear, has an opinion about what he wears, what we wear and what goes on his toast. We love you Henry!

Fin

And another race season comes to an end. One casualty, a broken front deraillur. I have spectated at this race for I'm not sure how many years. One year the race was on my due date with Henry. One year only Coppi accompanied me donning a beautiful wooly sweater. One year Henry sat bundled up in his stroller complete with wind and rain shield protection because the temps were hardly above zero. Another year I was pregnant with Miles and pulled Henry and his sweetie friend Mia in a sled through several inches of snow. And this year Miles was sweetly behaving in the stroller while Henry log rolled down the sand dunes, stopping a few times to cheer. It amazes me how the race has grown from very small participation and spectatorship to a huge event now. We are happy enjoy being daddy's cheering section. But we are also happy to have daddy's weekends back and have him all to ourselves:)

Sunday Muddy Sunday

2nd to last cx race of the season and it was a rainy, cold, and muddy one. We cheered him on in all our bundled up glory. Take a look at how squeaky clean the riders are at the starting line. Not the case at the finish! They took their bikes through a car wash before loading up back in the car.
