Henry goes to Kindergarten

Facts about Henry's first day:
1) He woke up by himself and headed downstairs resting on the sofa
2) He dressed himself (which he has done for quite some time now but still always wants mom's attention) without us even asking
3) We always offer a few choices to pick for breakfast and when I asked what he wanted (before even listing ideas), he said half a bagel, cold with cream cheese PLEASE
4) I asked him to brush his teeth ONCE and he did by himself
5) He then brushed his hair
6) He got his back pack ready and attached his lunch box and got his water bottle by himself

The family walked to school.

I know not every morning will go this pain-free.  But I need to document this day and hope to remember how I smiled at every event listed above as it was happening, happy to see his eagerness, his independence, and his maturity.

More Beach, More Vacation

Such fun we had enjoying each other in Michigan last week.  Rest and relaxation was needed by all.  The kids had been running crazy all summer with their various day camps, camping, block party, and birthday parties.  Here are a few more shots.
