Dad's Day

We spent the day at Sherman Park. I got some great shots of the park, doesn't even look like the city. I'd bet money that we were in France. Great weather, great company, and a bag chock full of snacks to keep the toddler happy. We had a great time. Brian didn't even get a flat until loading the bike back into the car. I heard the pop and hiss, and thought O gosh the car has a flat tire! So I was thrilled to hear it was the bike tire. Sorry Brian...

Doc says I'm A-OK

Henry had his 18 month doctor visit this week. Lots of relief followed. Doctor isn't worried about speech yet. We're getting there, today we can meow when we see a kitty. YAY! All measurements are comfortably in the middle. A bit stranger anxiety has just started, only with the gym nursery so far though. Blood curdling screams come out of that 26 pound child when we walk past the lobby. Yikes. But he forgets about me once I leave. When I showed up today after the work-out I found him at the play table of rice, guzzling a cup of it. Sick! I scooped him up, he blew kisses to the amazing sitters there and off we went, still waving bye-bye when we'd already left the building.

If we could all just sit down to cook...

We got him this kitchen awhile ago and I knew he was too young for it. Finally he is quite into stirring things around in the pots and putting things in and out of the oven. I just moved his little stool over to the window to so he can watch dogs, cars, and people out on the sidewalk. He'll hang out on that for a good half hour sometimes. His aunt Kate made the stool for him. Thanks Kate!! She's really a white water rafting guide, she moonlights as an artist.
While dad was racing in WI, Henry and I had a fun day. He thinks its so cool to cover his head with a blanket and walk around. Its all fun and games until he runs into something that makes him fall. His 18 month check up is this week and I have a load of questions for the doctor. Hope she's ready for me!
