The Big House!

Had the best day in Ann Arbor for the UM v Illinois homecoming game. 45-0 victory! It was wet and cold but we hung in there! A lunch at Zingermans and a few book store visits for some new UM apparel was all I was able to cram in before the game. Were we're so lucky to spend day with Aunt Laurie, Uncle Ross, and Trent. They are UM fans thru and thru! They even taught me a few things about my school, as I taught them a thing or 2 also!

Children's Farm

We all had a great day at the Children's Farm, this was our second time.  We went here when we first moved and I had completely forgotten about it.  Glad we found it again as its close to home and the best low-key adventure for the boys.  They really enjoyed petting many of the animals.  Miles dove right in, Henry was a bit more shy and reluctant to get close.  He didn't want to hold the duckling.  We visited with chickens, goats, baby cows, baby pigs, horses and donkeys.  I think we all loved sinking our palms into the wooly sheep coat.  A fun track ride took us to a pumpkin fields and the boys mostly goofed off.  I like the last picture where they are each admiring their hand stamps.  Great, great visit.  They've already even painted their mini pumpkin and goard they picked out.  And yes orange paint landed all over the china cabinet and rug.  Cause when paint, dining room, and toddlers come together what else can I expect?

Remembering

Henry and I made these laminated flower presses with flowers from an arrangement from the funeral. The flower presses we received from Miles' nature class.  We let the flowers dry for a few weeks in the presses and then picked out paper and used clear tape to "laminate" them.  This was a great activity for him and it gave me a chance to reflect.  I plan on hanging them in boys' room and using one for myself as a book mark.
